After confirming the bottom-line totals in both estimates, the next critical step is to verify that line items are placed into the correct categories (rooms) within TurboClaim. This ensures you're comparing like to like—room to room, and line item to line item.
Use the 'Show by Category' dropdown on the left side of the TurboClaim interface to review each category individually.
You’ll want to go through each one systematically and compare the extracted data against the original estimate PDF.
As you check each category, confirm that:
• The category name in TurboClaim matches the one in the original estimate (e.g., 'Dwelling Roof' matches 'Dwelling Roof').
• The bottom-line totals match exactly (e.g., $10,042.22 matches $10,042.22).
Go through the following sample room categories:
• Left Elevation – totals match
• Rear Elevation – totals match
• Right Elevation – totals match
• Front Elevation – totals match
• Master Bedroom – totals match
• Master Bathroom – totals match
• General – totals match
When all categories match, it means the system has correctly extracted and categorized every line item from the estimate PDF.
Now repeat this category-by-category validation process for the second estimate (typically the insured’s contractor or PA estimate).
Start with the Roof category, confirm the bottom-line total, and work your way through all other rooms:
• Front Elevation
• Right Elevation
• Rear Elevation
• Left Elevation
• Master Bedroom
• Master Bathroom
• General
Every room must match before proceeding.
You cannot proceed to the matching phase unless every line item is located in the correct category. Incorrectly grouped or misplaced line items will break the comparison and create confusion in supplements.
This is your final check to ensure TurboClaim is ready to do its job with total accuracy.
If you discover line items in the wrong rooms or missing categories altogether, don’t worry—we cover how to resolve these issues in the next Help Center article and training video.
